The ceremony has been held annually ever since.

Tengger people hold the ceremony every year, which is calling Kasodo, to please the gods of Mount Bromo. The Kasodo ceremony is holding every full moon of the 12th month of the Tengger Calendar.

On the ceremony, Tengger people bring offerings to please the gods. They offer fruits and small animals in flower decorated containers. At midnight, they gather on the temple of Pura Luhur Poten. Then on the 14th day of the ceremony, they walk around the edge of Mount Bromo and travel up the mountain with their offerings to throw to the crater.
